Images from Outside: Minerva Academy in the UMCG and ERIBA
On Wednesday 28 May, the Beelden van Buiten (Images from Outside) exhibition featuring six photo projects about Healthy Ageing was launched in the UMCG (University Medical Centre Groningen). ERIBA (European Research Institute for the Biology of Ageing) allowed students from the Minerva Academy, part of the Hanzehogeschool Groningen, to execute research relating to ageing by means of photography.
Since its establishment, ERIBA has given special attention to the subject of ageing in visual art and there are various works in the building that take this topic into consideration.
Young artists from the Minerva Academy have now studied this topic more closely by order of and in association with ERIBA. The results will be on display in the Images from Outside exhibition, which was opened by Liesbeth Veenhoff, Principal Investigator at ERIBA, and Leo Delfgaauw, tutor at Minerva Academy. The exhibition will run until 20 August 2014 in the University Medical Centre Groningen, Hanzeplein 1, Groningen.
