Blood test for detecting key protein produced by cancer cells

06 December 2023

An international team of researchers, including the UMCG’s Prof. Dr. John LaCava (European Research Institute for the Biology of Ageing, ERIBA) and Dr. Karin Wolters (Pediatrics), have developed a highly sensitive blood test that can detect a key protein produced by cancer cells that shows promise for early detection. The results were recently published in Cancer Discovery.
