Cut. Paste. DNA modified.

It sounds like science fiction:cut out a few genes and modify the DNA. But the purposeful genetic modification of a plant, animal or human, also called “genome engineering”, has existed for a long time and is already happening. With the advanced CRISPR-Cas method it can be done faster, easier and more precisely. The research group of Floris Foijer makes full use of it. The applications are endless. At least, if the law allows it.
