Naming ERIBA seminar room

Monday October 24th, there was an official naming of our ERIBA seminar room. The seminar room is named after the late Professor Marten Hofker.

Professor Hofker was employed as a Professor in Molecular Genetics at the UMCG. With this naming we honor him, as his contribution was instrumental in the final design of the seminar room.

From now on it will be the Marten Hofkerzaal.

The official naming was accompanied by the unveiling of a work of art by the artist Hans Mes. The unveiling was done by Professor Ciska Wijmenga, Rector of the RUG and partner of Professor Hofker, in the presence of friends, family and co-workers.
