TIM29 is required for enhanced stem cell activity during regeneration in the flatworm Macrostomum lignano

15 January 2021

In this study, Stijn Mouton and colleagues demonstrate that TIM29 is required for adapting to a highly proliferative state during regeneration in the flatworm Macrostomum lignano. In addition, they present how this model organism can be used to probe conserved genes with an unknown function for their potential role in regeneration, stem cell function, and germline biology.
